The aim of this web site is to keep current and potential members up-to-date on pertinent chapter activities and on local and national issues in Long Term Care. Your input and involvement is welcome. This site will post original materials along with links to existing resources, tools, articles and legislative information that we hope will help advance our mission and to improve patient care and promote the professional development of long term care medical directors. We are here to help you provide the compassionate, quality care all long term care residents deserve.
MMDA members can submit non-commercial long term care related items for possible future posting to this website. Interested members can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Practitioners in post-acute and long-term care (PA/LTC) medicine have an unusual and important opportunity to help shape the body of knowledge for this unique field by responding to a pair of job task surveys, one for medical directors and the other for attending physicians. This project is the most recent step AMDA - The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine and its affiliates, The American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, and the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine are taking to define the skills, training and experience needed to practice medicine and medical direction today in the changing world of PA/LTC.
